LOVE, BA Style

The past few days have continued to be inwardly focused for me. Time well spent - for when I do this, tap into me, I find that I am more open and able to receive and participate in what's around me.

I have been reviewing in my mind and in my heart the various goals and expectations I have set for myself for my time here. And, since this has been a plan in the making for almost 2 years, there are many of them. Writing this blog, writing music, traveling, exploring art buying/production world in BA to see if I could sustain myself longterm, experiencing love, dancing with the 5 Rhythms community and learning tango, cafe lounging, going to Brasil, meeting people who will inspire me and perhaps change my path all together. A lot. Perhaps too much to accomplish in 2-3 short months. I've been in this predicament before, I always seem to have a list. And so I know the best way to approach it, to prevent myself from trying to do all and ending up with nothing to show for it because I've been hopping to and fro too much. I'm going to start with one. And that one is LOVE, for isn't it from love that everything worthwhile flows anyway?

I'm not just talking about romantic love, though that is a particularly satisfying form that I do hope to come across here. I am talking about love on a holistic, macro level. A love that is born from within and that, when given to oneself first and fully, flows out and touches everything in its path. It's with love that I figured out how I was going to get here in the first place. I told myself I deserved it and took simple steps toward setting it up. And then I started to share that dream and others' love for me fortified and solidified my plans. It's to love that I owe everything. And so it only makes sense that I continue to walk in its light on the streets of Buenos Aires. That I open myself up physically (it's amazing how different you feel when you walk around with your heart center elevated and open versus slouched over and closed), mentally (meditation, visualization and prayer are some of the most powerful tools, and they're free) and emotionally (in order to give and receive love fully and freely you have to eliminate fear and judgement).

So love is where I'll start. And I'll let that path inform which other goals I tick off along the way. Because I know that, in doing what inspires love in and brings love out of me, I'll find it again and again. And it will continue to blow my mind.

I'm sending you some love right now, my friends. Go out and spread it.
